It's that time of the month again....

... When I normally publish a cake chart of my blood sugars.

However, due to being a complete doofus, I managed to leave my diabetes kit somewhere between my last poker tournament and now.  This is exceptionally difficult to manage as the kit in its entirety is about the size of a small suitcase.  It contained my lovely all-singing, all-dancing, all graph-making blood sugar meter, and without it I'm lost.

However my lovely diabetic nurse, sorry, diabetes nurse, gave me a new one.  This one doesn't only sing, dance and make graphs (apparently sooo last year) but it can also tell you how many sugars you should have in your tea (none) and next week's lottery numbers (not telling you).  Only problem is that you need an MSc in Computerybobsiness to be able to operate it, and I only have one in Astrophysics.

I still want to to publish something, but what?  Luckily I got a request!  My loveli friend asked after Inspirational Steve, my unofficial triathlon coach (so unofficial that even he doesn't know it).  She specifically wanted to know how annoying he has been recently.  A few days ago he gave me some great advice about open water swimming. Apparently it's easy to panic, and if you do, just sing a song and blow bubbles.  He also said that I should consider eating cake before going for a sea swim.

So the inaugural Steve-ometer looks like this.....

PS Happy Halfiversary, blog!
